On March 14th, Oak Point University hosted its much anticipated Dedication and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The night was filled with celebration as the ceremony took place and the University was blessed by Most Reverend Alberto Rojas, Auxiliary Bishop, Episcopal Vicar Vicariate III. Several guests were present as the ribbon was cut by Dr. Beth Brooks, President of Oak Point University, Mary Anne Kelly, Chair of Oak Point University’s Board of Directors, Sandra Bruce, President and CEO of Presence Health, and Sister Patricia Ann Koschalke, who is a member of the Sponsorship Board for Presence Health.

Following the ceremony, attendees were invited to take guided tours of the campus that included a demonstration in the simulation center. Bishop Rojas could be seen blessing the offices, classrooms, and hallways. Light refreshments (courtesy of sponsor Bear Construction) were served, and praises of the new location were heard. The event gave alumni the opportunity to appreciate the features of the Oak Point’s new classrooms, simulation center, library and student lounge.

The University opened its doors in the trendy Wicker Park neighborhood back in January. Many months of planning and commitment allowed for the University’s move from Oak Park. The Dedication and Ribbon cutting marked a pivotal moment in the University’s history.
