On Friday, October 21, 2011, Sandie Soldwisch, Ph.D., APN, ANP-BC, Dean of the College of Nursing at Oak Point University, was named the 2011 recipient of the Susan A. Matson Transformational Leadership Award. The RHC award recognizes individuals who clearly exhibit the attributes and behaviors of Transformational Leadership–concern for people, operational excellence, spirituality and visionary leadership. The award was presented by Sister Clara Frances Kusek, C.R., Executive Vice President of Missions Effectiveness, on behalf of the Resurrection healthcare System.
Sister Clara Frances Kusek, C.R., Executive Vice President of Mission Effectiveness for Resurrection healthcare, presented the RHC 2011 Susan A. Matson Transformational Leadership Award to Dr. Sandie Soldwisch on Friday, October 21, 2011 at Oak Point University in Oak Park, Illinois.
Although surprised and honored to receive the prestigious RHC award, Dr. Soldwisch was quick to share the credit. “It’s the team that actually gets us where we are today,” said Soldwisch. “All I can do is try to keep it going.”
Dr. Beth A. Brooks, President of Oak Point University offered her praise of Dr. Soldwisch. “This wonderful colleague of mine is why this job has been so great,” said Dr. Brooks. “I just can’t tell you how wonderful she’s been to work with.”
The award is dedicated to Susan A. Matson, a friend and colleague of Resurrection healthcare, who developed and implemented the Transformational Leadership program within the organization. Recipients are chosen by their peers and leaders.
