On Monday, September 17, 2012, Oak Point University held its first annual golf outing at Oak Park Country Club. Fourteen foursomes enjoyed a great day that included a buffet lunch, a best ball tournament on a challenging course, followed by cocktails and a buffet dinner in the clubhouse. More than twenty people came for the dinner. Even the weather cooperated with 70 degree temperatures and sunshine. In fact, every foursome got off the course before it finally rained. Our thanks to Sister Sandi Sosnowski for interceding with the Higher Authority to keep the thunderstorms away!
Bear Construction won the best ball tournament with a scorching 63. Gifts included a customized shoe bag filled with a dozen golf balls, a water bottle filled with tees, a golf towel, ball marker and bag tag. We invite all of our friends and sponsors to return next year for the second annual golf outing which will take place at Oak Park Country Club on Monday, September 16, 2013.
