Join us for one of two special Thinking Out Loud Speaker Series events on Thursday, December 10th with guest speaker, Rosemary Gibson, M.Sc., Senior Advisor to the Hastings Center, author, and national authority on patient safety.

The first event, Patient Safety. Are you Ready? will take place from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. in room 1N24. Learn about how to become a change agent. You’ll also hear about real patient narratives and case studies in informatics, nursing, pharmacy and radiography. To RSVP for this event visit

The second event, Patient Safety & Just Culture. Why it Matters, will take place from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. in room 1N24. To RSVP for this event, please visit

For both events, Rosemary will sell and sign copies of her best seller, Wall of Silence: The Untold Story of the Medical Mistakes That Kill and Injure Millions of Americans. Free copies of her book will be given to the first 10 people who RSVP to each event (copies must be picked up at the event on 12/10). Proceeds from the sale will be donated to causes that support patients.

These events are joint-provided with IONL. 1.0 contact hour will be awarded to nurses for both programs.
Please note: We are offering this event at two different times to accommodate our guests. The topics discussed will be slightly similar in content for both programs and therefore it is not necessary to attend both.
