Oak Point on WGN Radio with Dane Neal

Oak Point’s President Therese A. Scanlan and Director of the Saint Francis School of Radiography, Mary Ellen Newton were live on WGN Radio (720AM) on Sunday, July 31 where they spoke with guest host Dane Neal. While on the show, President Scanlan spoke to Dane about her new role as President of the University and her experiences working in higher education over the years. Oak Point she stated,  “is the best kept secret in Wicker Park” and offers high-quality education in nursing, radiography and health informatics, which allows for students to achieve fulfilling careers in a variety of healthcare roles.

Mary Ellen Newton, who was first a student of Saint Francis School of Radiography, and has now worked at the school for over 20 years, talked about her experiences in radiography and the exciting events taking place this year to celebrate the school’s 70th anniversary, including a Cubs game for Healthcare Professionals Night on August 17.
