Oak Point’s Very Own is Appointed President of ILHIMA

Oak Point University’s very own, Theresa L. Jones, Assistant Professor in the Health Informatics and Information Management (HIIM) program, was inducted as the President of the Illinois Health Information Management Association (ILHIMA) on April 5th at the association’s annual meeting.  Theresa L. Jones has been with Oak Point University since the summer of 2012.  She has been influential in the lives of many students throughout her time at Oak Point University and her entire career as an instructor in the HIIM field.  Oak Point is proud to have her on its faculty.

As President of ILHIMA, Jones is responsible for providing leadership oversight and guidance to the ILHIMA Board and members.  Jones has been an active member of the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).  She has held other board positions within ILIMA, and is the Former President of the Chicago Area Health Information Management Association (CAHIMA).
