Oak Point University and Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center joined together on August 2nd to participate in Senator Delgado’s 20th Annual All Kids and Family Health Fair. The Health Fair was located at Mozart Park, and offered various health screenings to families in the area. Oak Point saw more than 300 patients. In order to raise health awareness over the warmer months of summer, Oak Point also handed out sunscreen and flyers on hydration tips. Pamphlets about the University were distributed as well.
The neighborhood was very appreciative of the health fair. It was a successful venture for the University as well.
“Through the event the University was able to make a difference in the community, while also informing the community about our offerings,” said Esther Wallen, Assistant Director of Career Services and Alumni Relations.
Oak Point looks forward to being involved in future community activities.
