We are happy to announce that Tamara Bland is the recipient of the Nurse Educator Fellowship award. She was nominated and chosen as one of 22 selected individuals who will each receive an award of $10,000 in 2015. This is the 9th year of the Nurse Educator Fellowship Program in which the Illinois Board of Higher Education has awarded fellowships to 139 faculty members. All recipients were nominated by nursing school administrators in community colleges, public universities, and private higher education institutions. The reward is to be used by the Fellow for expenses related to professional development and continuing education. Fellows will also receive the opportunity to participate in statewide nursing advocacy to help address nursing issues in Illinois. Congraulations on your hard work Tamara!
