Admission Criteria

Students who have completed all required prerequisite general education requirements and nursing support courses may apply for the bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).

An applicant will be considered for admission into the nursing program if the following criteria are met:

  1. Earned a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale
  2. Earned a minimum cumulative science GPA of 2.75 (in anatomy and physiology I and II, general chemistry, and microbiology)
  3. Completed the
    1. ATI TEAS (Test of Essential Academic Skills) exam with a minimum comprehensive score of 68%, including minimum sub-scores in math, science, and reading of 68% or the
    2. HESI exam with a minimum comprehensive score of 80%, including minimum sub-scores of 80%

Gen Ed + Nursing Support PreReqs

As an upper-division transfer school, BSN candidates will need to transfer in approximately 61 semester credits in general education and nursing support courses.

*Please note that all college math courses and the sciences courses must have been completed no more than five years prior to your intended semester of enrollment. Physical and life sciences must include one course from each area. A course from physical sciences or life sciences must have a lab (L) designation. General education physical and life sciences, college math, and social and behavioral sciences credits that have been fulfilled by nursing support coursework may be substituted with general elective coursework.


  1. Submit your application for admission
  2. Pay your $50 non-refundable application fee
  3. Submit your supplemental admissions documents via email or mail to the Oak Brook Campus “Attn: Admissions”
    • Official transcripts documenting proof of graduation
    • Official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  4. Take, and successfully complete, the ATI TEAS exam
  5. Schedule a call with your Enrollment Advisor


Congrats! You got in! Now what?

Your student file must be completed before classes start. This includes:

  1. Pay your enrollment fee
  2. Pass the criminal background check
  3. Pass the drug screening test
  4. Provide proof of completing all required health documentation
  5. Complete clinical compliance documentation
  6. Complete all general education and nursing support course requirements
