Our BSNs for RNs Completion Program is designed for the associate degree-level or nursing diploma RN looking to upgrade their credentials by bridging the gap between their current credential and a BSN.

Admission Criteria

We want you to succeed and will honor your past achievements. Everyone’s journey is different, but we’re here to help you reach your destination in the best way for you. Using a holistic approach, Oak Point works with you by offering personalized, individualized plans that take into account your educational background, as well as your work experience and life experience.

An applicant will be considered for admission into the RN to BSN if the following criteria are met:

  1. Earned a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale
  2. Earned a minimum cumulative science GPA of 2.75 on a 4.00 scale
    (in human anatomy and physiology I and II, general chemistry, and microbiology)
  3. Must be a graduate of an NLNAC/ACEN accredited, IDFPR approved, and/or diploma nursing program
  4. Must hold a current and unencumbered Illinois nursing license or an unencumbered nursing license from the state in which you reside
  5. Must transfer in approximately 99 semester credits in general education, pre-nursing support, and nursing courses
