Admission Criteria

An applicant will be considered for admission into the MSN program if the following criteria are met:

  1. Earned a BSN from regionally-accredited institution and an AACN-accredited nursing program
  2. Holds a current and unencumbered RN license
  3. Earned a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale
  4. Earned a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale for all nursing coursework
  5. Held in good standing at all previous colleges and universities attended 

An applicant will be considered for admission into the Post-Master Certificate program if the following criteria are met:

  1. Earned a minimum cumulative graduate grade point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale in all nursing coursework
  2. Holds a current and unencumbered Advance Practice Nursing License from Illinois or the state where you reside for out-of-state students or is eligible to sit for a nationally recognized advanced practice nursing certification
  3. Holds a current and unencumbered registered nurse license in Illinois or the state where you reside for out-of-state students
  4. Held in good standing at all previous colleges and universities

Applying

  1. Submit your online application
  2. Pay your application fee
  3. Submit your official transcripts from all colleges and universities attended
  4. Submit a copy of your current nursing license
  5. Schedule a call with your Enrollment Advisor (for MSN applicants)
  6. Submit a copy of your resume or curriculum vitae (for Certificate applicants)

Accepting

Congrats! You got in! Now what?

Your student file must be completed before classes start. This includes:

  1. Pay your enrollment fee
  2. Pass the criminal background check
  3. Pass the drug screening test
  4. Provide proof of completing all required health documentation
  5. Complete clinical compliance documentation
