Overall employment of radiologic and MRI technologists is projected to grow 9% from 2018 to 2028, faster than the average for all occupations (U.S. BUREAU OF LABOR STATISTICS).
Radiologic technologists perform medical imaging exams. With the help of various imaging technologies, these professionals obtain images of a patient's body for radiologists, who will then interpret the images. Radiologic technologists often specialize in particular imaging modalities, such as mammography or CT scans. Most radiologic technologists are employed at hospitals, physicians' offices, orthopedic clinics, and in outpatient imaging centers.
Resurrection University’s Saint Francis School of Radiography offers the only JRCERT accredited bachelors degree program in Chicago.
In addition to general radiography, fluoroscopy, surgery, and portable bedside exams, you will have the opportunity to experience specialized imaging including CAT Scan, interventional radiography/cath lab, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging, ultrasound (USD), and nuclear medicine.
