Grants
Grants are awarded based on financial need and do not have to be repaid if the required eligibility is met
Federal Pell Grants
Pell Grant awards are based on 12 credit hours or more when awarded before the Add/Drop date for the semester. If the student is enrolled less than 12 credit hours for the semester, the award amount will be adjusted.
The amount a student receives is limited to a maximum of full-time enrollment for six years or its equivalent. The six year equivalent is 600%. Once the student has reached this limit of 600% they are no longer eligible to receive the Pell Grant.
MAP Grant awards are based on 15 credit hours or more when awarded before the Add/Drop date for the semester. If the student is enrolled less than 15 credit hours for the semester, the award will be adjusted.
The maximum hours ISAC will pay for an otherwise eligible student at their sophomore level is a total of 75 credit hours and for their junior or senior level a total of 135 credit hours. Hours earned at other institutions are included. Students are to notify the Financial Aid Office of any changes in their enrollment for the semester.
