Each year, Oak Point University Awards students, from both the College of Health Sciences and the College of Nursing, an Academic and a Clinical Excellence Award. Award recipients are nominated by Oak Point University faculty.
Academic Excellence Award
The Academic Excellence award is given to an undergraduate student for academic performance while growing as a professional. Nominees must have fulfilled at least 40 hours of residency at the University and earned a cumulative grade point average of at least a 3.5 on a 4.0 point scale.

Clinical Excellence Award
The Clinical Excellence award is given to the undergraduate who performs accurately and implements evidence-based interventions appropriate to the administrative and clinical situation. In the case of a clinical situation, undergraduates care for patients of diverse cultures with a variety of needs. Award recipients are students whose actions and behaviors reflect our University’s core values as well as adhere to professional practice, legal and ethical standards.
