FELICIA S. WILHELM is the founder and CEO of Prairie States Enterprises, Inc., a Chicago-based health benefits administration firm. She possesses a unique combination of clinical expertise and entrepreneurial spirit and has grown Prairie States into a technologically advanced health management company. Prairie States administers group health plans with employees from coast to coast, including Fortune 500 companies, and collaborates with the Mayo Clinic. An experienced healthcare consultant, she has had great success working with employers to implement innovative, cost-saving healthcare solutions. She received her nursing degree from Vanderbilt University and worked in the neurosurgical unit at Vanderbilt Hospital. Subsequently, she served as a nurse practitioner in adult assessment in the Emergency Department at Rush Presbyterian St Luke Hospital in Chicago. She is a member of the Health Committee for The Illinois States Chamber of Commerce and is active in the Self-Insurance Institute of America, Inc. and the Society of Professional Benefit Administrators.
