KARENA BROWN is an interim manager of an inpatient general medicine unit at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. In addition to her clinical RN role, she serves as the Chair of the Nursing Quality and Patient Safety Subcommittee. She is a member of both the Nursing Professional Practice Committee and the Magnet Committee. She is also a Medicine Department Shared Leadership member and certified medical-surgical nurse. She graduated from Oak Point University and holds a bachelor’s in biomedical sciences from Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama.
