Available during hours of operation, research assistance helps students and faculty locate physical and online materials and perform literature searches. For assistance locating specific articles, faculty members and students should email library@oakpoint.edu, and the item will be delivered electronically or physically, based on preference.

Borrowing Materials

Physical materials may be checked out for three weeks and renewed for an additional three weeks if no previous holds. Items are considered overdue the day following the due date. Any materials not returned by the due date may be subject to a Library Hold on the student’s account. Until the materials are returned, the student’s transcripts and grades will not be released.

Requesting Materials

Can’t find the full-text version of an article or a particular book? To request full-text materials, faculty and students should email library@oakpoint.edu, and the item will be delivered electronically or physically, based on preference.

Reserved Materials

The library owns a copy of each current textbook on reserve. Library staff will hold student IDs while students use these materials. Reserved materials may not leave the library or student lounge without permission.
